Over three years after targeting tea party groups for critical observation, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released a list of organizations that will face additional investigation.
The IRS revealed names of over 420 organizations after being pressured by numerous federal judges who are attempting to speed up the pace of a court case.
The majority of these conservative groups have keywords such as “tea,” “patriot,” “liberty,” and “912” in their name.
According to the Washington Times, the case is a class suit, where one of the parties is a group of people who are represented collectively by a member of that group; therefore, the list of names is crucial to determining who has a claim against the IRS.
